Arbor Day tree planting in Bend

The Bend Downtowners — an association of downtown businesses — plan a tree-planting event in honor of Arbor Day on Saturday.

The planting will take place between 9 a.m. and noon. Participants should meet at 9 a.m. at the corner of Minnesota Avenue and Wall Street. Volunteers are needed — bring the kids and grandkids, organizers say.
